Hello everybody
For those of you who do not know me, My name is Jeff Cockburn. I am the Administrator and Discipleship Pastor at Grace Fellowship Church in Lampasas. One of my duties here at Grace is to organize and facilitate small group activity. The main vehicle we use to perpetuate small groups is the campaign. The campaign coming April 18th is 40 Days of Community. This campaign is the second of three campaigns scheduled for our church family. The first was 40 Days of Purpose. The last will be 40 Days of Love which we will host in the fall.
If you are reading this email you are one of five families that requested to be in a small group on Sunday Evening. My goal in this email is to accomplish a couple of things. First I want to thank the McGregors for opening up their home for this study. Second I want you to become acquainted with each other via email. Just "reply to all" with a little information about you and your family. Third you need to firm up some of the details. Directions to the McGregors, A specific meeting time and what type of snacks everyone will bring. Food is a great Ice breaker. .
Last but not least I want everybody to Relax. Being in a small group is rewarding and fun. We have the groups here at Grace to prove it. It is as simple as this. You meet and eat (snack). Then you will play a DVD. The DVD does all the teaching. Then you will discuss the answers to the questions in the study guide that comes with the DVD. Be open and honest. Your Father in Heaven put you here as Brothers and Sisters not acquaintances. You will then close in prayer and head home excited about what you have learned and eager to meet again.
